Lancfan's Priest and Sexton **DNF**

Post by lancfan »

I will follow up my challenger with a comparison build of two Priest SPG kits, one is an original Matchbox kit and the other being the new Revell release.

Well, apart from the different coloured plastic and the decals, I'm not sure that there will be much to "compare"? :)

The Priest kit has a reputation for being a bit of a pig to put together, I believe.

I suppose the biggest difference will be in the material for the tracks
AFAIR Matchbox ones were rather stiff [?]

Easy to say Fred but work and life do come first, I'm not sure that the challenger will be finished on time- these now may not get started let alone finished by the 30th.

I did say that this was a comparison build and Bruce didn't think there was much to compare between them- he was absolutely right because despite these two kits being separated by decades the parts of both kits are perfect and identical apart from the colour of the plastic, well done Lesney !

As they are the same mouldings, will you mix n match the colours?

I hadn't thought of doing so Fred but it would prove the quality of the current mouldings if the two kits were combined.

The two kits have been started, the Matchbox kit on the left will be finished as a Priest and the Revell hull on the right has been cut back for new plastic card sides to be built as a Sexton.

Both kits are taking shape, the Priest should be completed first it being almost OOB.
