Good film choice. I'm hoping number two is as enjoyable. Don't let it distract you from the build

An oldie but a goodie from Hase then OT. Great progress. When you say "supplies" do you mean parmo and beer?

And just to top things off, home brew cider:
Have just attached the nose section but lots of sanding still needed. Images to follow.

Just before I closed up the cockpit I took these images if the interior and nose.
And this is where I am up to now.
Just need to get the rudder on and then apply some primer.
Should celebrate with more cider.
But I need to fit a new toilet seat before SWMBO returns!
More to follow.

Glad you like the grub mate. In my experience you can never have too many calories during a Blitzbau.
Just applied the primer coat and have put it to one side to dry.
Now need to work on the wheels, U/C and missiles. I think I'll leave it clean apart from the wing-tip sidewinders.

I was going to do a quick update but I seem to have misplaced my phone.
This cider must be stronger than I thought!
Hopefully it should end up looking something like this:
No wing tanks on mine though as Hasegawa didn't supply any.

If I had known, I could have supplied you with NASA or"Top Gun" aggressor decals from the Hasegawa kit released 2 odd years ago..

I think they would have been for an F-5E Tiger II Tony. I do want to build a NASA chase plan in the future.coptermech wrote:If I had known, I could have supplied you with NASA or"Top Gun" aggressor decals from the Hasegawa kit released 2 odd years ago..
Anyway, I found my phone so have documented my progress:
The first coat of white is drying on the sidewinders and I have detached the wheels and U\C from the sprue and cleaned them up. There was some flash but nothing too drastic. I don't think I can do much more tonight. It's nearly midnight here so is far too late to fire up the compressor to start painting so I'm calling it a night. I've had too much cider too - only another 15 pints to go.
I will kick off the second session at midday (GMT) tomorrow. Good night all.

Here we go for round two. I decided to listen to music today as movies can be too distracting.
So first up we have Mr.Bowie.

Re: OT's Solo Blitz ***Round two started ***
I noticed a seam line after the first coat of black so a little filler and wipe before a second coat. Hopefully it won't be too visible.
So this is where I am at now.
At the top you can see that I have broken one of the U\C legs. The other half went 'ping' only yo be devoured by the carpet monster.
I have looked everywhere for it but no luck. I'll have to search through the spares box or failing that I have another Hasegawa F-5A that I can rob for now.
That would still leave me with a two- legged F-5.
Apologies for the lack of clock. I'll rectify that next time.
