This is really turning into a spoiled bourgeois teenager, please ensure it checks in to the nearest re-education facility
Show it who's the boss (not that I doubt you will).
Somehow this build seems to keep inspiring friendly teasing. I do hope this is not felt as anything else

Re: OT's Little Bee
No worries about that Rob. I'm going to give it a damn good thrashing.
As you can see from this image the canopy should blend in to the nose at the front.
It does bulge out at the sides so at least that is correct. I feel an evening with Squadron green putty coming on.
I'll get there in the end and I do get a bigger sense of achievement from completing a kit like this over a 'Tamigawa' shake a box kit.
Although I might need to do one of those after this.

I've just read through this thread and you must have the patience of a saint, OT. If it was me, this would have been in the bin days ago. Looking forward to the finished article.

Re: OT's Little Bee
I'm curious, where was this picture taken? A Soviet transport plane and helicopter in the foreground isn't that odd, but the taxiing aircraft in the background appear to be a MiG-23, an early Harrier, a MiG-27 or ground attack 23, and an OV-10, in that sequence, and that's a strange lineup indeed.Old_Tonto wrote:As you can see from this image the canopy should blend in to the nose at the front.

Re: OT's Little Bee
You have good eyes Rob, I hadn't noticed those.
I didn't take the picture but I'm pretty sure that it's the Luftwaffe Museum, Berlin-Gatow. They have every plane model ever used by the Luftwaffe, BDR & GDR.
Never been myself but it's on my bucket list.

Just read through this. Been a bit of a drama but going to be so worth it.

Re: OT's Little Bee
As others have remarked: Want one! Sort of cute subject, enough fight to make it interesting, what's not to like. Better yet, a pair showed up on Evilbay for £12 each, which is rather below my "silly money"threshold. Couldn't resist, of course
They arrived today, and I'm having trouble resisting the urge to put one on the bench right now
May need to scrounge up some decals though..

Crikey, this build has seen its share of Blitzbau House disasters!! Great nose job OT, I've seen worse on famous people after expensive surgery so you might have a future there

Definitely worth it James. Especially as she is now coming together:JamesPerrin wrote:Just read through this. Been a bit of a drama but going to be so worth it.
I wish I had read Splash's locomotive build earlier, I would of lit the interior.
Agreed. Very cool. I want a real one, it would make a great chicken coop.bobblelink wrote:what a great looking kit of a splendid looking aeroplane

Good lad Rob. I can't see why you would want two though, you must be a masochist!
This link to scalemates https://www.scalemates.com/kits/146066- ... cart-an-14 is useful with some info on re-boxings & decal sheets.
A very good walkaround link too which I wish I had found earlier.
Here is a completed build of this kit but the guy vac formed his own canopy: http://www.airwingmodels.de/t1267f20-An ... odell.html
It's not the worst kit I've ever tackled by a long way. Anyone ever attempted a High Planes Mirage?

Re: OT's Little Bee
I am a bit, at least where scale models are concerned, but the reason for buying both is rather more down to earth: at that price and scarcity, and given the temperamentful nature of the little beasty, a spare seemed in order. There's not many mishaps I can't recover from, as long as I have an undamaged pattern to work with. If it turns out I don't need the second, I should be able to shift it, or if I take a real liking to the little machine, build that too.Old_Tonto wrote:I can't see why you would want two though, you must be a masochist!
Thanks for the link to the walkaround; somehow the penny hadn't dropped when checking Scalemates earlier.
I also found this picture of a rather less beat up interior: http://photos.wikimapia.org/p/00/02/03/54/41_big.jpg;
And some aircushion pictures here: http://toocatsoriginals.tumblr.com/post ... onov-an-14;

Re: OT's Little Bee
As you have a spare Rob you could do one as the hover version.
