certainly not after the stated 12 hours "on the booze"jRatz wrote:The ZPU-1 in that pickup goes together easily enough, but if that is the original kit then the barrel (and change handle) is too long by about 5mm - it may not matter to anyone.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

I was so curious earlier that I went off and found one of your previous exploits .... and I am in for a laugh watching this proceed tonight.Old_Tonto wrote:It's not really that exciting Chris. Just a bunch of like minded model making friends get together and go for a straight 24 hour build. Its sort of like an old gentleman's club where they serve fine food and quaffing is a given. It is amazing how steady your hand is after 12 hours on the booze.chrism wrote:I have never followed a build of this genre before, but I feel from comments above I could be in for something but not sure what. Can anyone enlighten me please

I don't know about the "gentlemen" bit but it should be a laugh! What's the pre-blitz meal then OT? something hot 'n' spicy?

Now that's a feast fit for a blitz. Everything tastes better on a Blitz.

Re: The Blitzbau House returns Friday 24th
1 hour in and the harrier engine is in.
The interior is a light grey very much like the plastic. Makes me wonder why I painted it!
The Stug is coming together really well.
And the cider is a bit cloudy.
We are watching Paul play Battlefield one on the PS4. He just got ran over by a tank. It's bloody noisy in here.
Oh yes & Finnski has arrived but he is not a well man.

10pm here and this harrier is a bit tricky to get together but I think I'm getting there.
Once the wing is attached filling and sanding will begin. I want to get it together and primed before we sleep tonight.
The Stug is falling together in true Tamiya fasion.
Must be time for food soon.

That's a dangerous carpet monster if it's stealing 1/48 Harrier tails

It's only 1/72 so I'll take that as a complement.
I recovered the tail and snapped the pitot tube off. Swings and roundabouts!

Excellent blitzing boys, those are coming together very well with some comedy dramas thrown in for good measure. Jeez Louise what is in that opaque "cider"?!?!? If your mate Finnski isn't feeling too good OT try him with some of that - it'll kill or cure him for sure

That cider has probably got some red wine in with it ... an earlier post did mention that some wine had been uncorked

There's a fair to middling chance that it's mixed with red diesel! I consider myself to be multi-fuel when it comes to booze and will drink most things but I don't know about that evil looking brew - I can feel a hangover coming on just looking at itchrism wrote:That cider has probably got some red wine in with it ... an earlier post did mention that some wine had been uncorked
