Re: The Blitzbau House returns Friday 24th
Good to see things are proceeding in time honoured fashion; keep up the good work boys and I'll look in again in the morning.
Best wishes
Jim

Re: The Blitzbau House returns Friday 24th
A quick update before we head off for a kebab.
Both kits are ready for primer
So as it gets a bit rough in the Boro on a Friday night we are taking some precautions.
We test fired it in the back yard so are leaving now before the armed response unit arrive.

Airsoft.
I went with the healthy option tonight:
The stug is looking very cool after a near disaster. Cosmic put it and the remaining sprues in the box lid ready to prime them. He the started to shake the rattle can primer and hit the end of the box sending the Stug somersaulting throuh the air......and he caught it!
That would never have happened if he'd been sober.
Anyway, it's all been enough for him:
Everytime!
My harrier has it's first coat of Extra Dark Sea Grey. I'm using Xtracolor acrylix, I think the their British colours are spot on.
I plan to get another coat on before catching some ZZZ's.

DISASTER!
I was attempting to add the seat when I managed to force the cockpit tub into the nose.
Bottom!!!!!!
Leave it and start again later.
[/URL]
So I will paint the pylons and tanks etc. Then catch a few hours kip. No sign of cosmic waking up anytime soon.
Good night all.

I'd heard it was rough up north in parts ... Good to see you are following the Boy Scout motto.

Is the stug really just all his own work? It's come together quick like, in just couple hours for a big kit.

I see the usual Blitzbau House shenanigans are present and correct! A shining example of healthy living for us all to follow
Whilst the Stug has indeed flown together sorting out the Harrier's cockpit tub will be the first exciting challenge of the day. When they get up and, no doubt, have had a fry up. Probably around lunchtime

Re: The Blitzbau House returns Friday 24th
Just surfaced and all is quiet in the Blitzbau House. Not even a mouse is stiring, probably all killed by the miasma that hangs over the modelling table. Its a bit funky in here.
No sign of Cosmic. Maybe he was abducted by aliens - an actual fear of his.
To answer your question Chris yes its all his own work. He goes off like the energizer bunny but then, well you saw what happened. All the Tamiya kits of that era, mid 70's through 80's just fall together but have hundreds of small pieces. Which may or may not get attached depending on how the blitz goes.
I have managed to get the tub back in the SHAR and given rear half of the fuselage a second coat.
Whilst that dries I am working on the missiles and drop tanks. Better clean up the broken pitot tube too and there are a few small antenne to go on.
I hear the sound of a Cosmic returning. Hopefully butties will appear soon.

Re: The Blitzbau House returns Friday 24th
Nice one, the Shar paint is looking good and great save with the cockpit tub. I agree regarding the buildability of those classic Tamiya armour kits but yes they often do contain a lot of parts. It's great to see Cosmic blitzing one but with the parts count I'm not surprised he tired himself out! Bacon, runny fried egg and tomato would be my choice for a robust breakfast sandwich - heartburn? sounds like a place in Northumberland to me

Nice recoveries both man and beast. Also good to see the Blitz House coffee mug in the background.

Re: The Blitzbau House returns Friday 24th
Just straight forward Bacon for us today then on with the builds.
Stug is looking very good with paint on
My SHAR seems to have ground to a halt but I'm just putting together the smaller parts and wondering when to have a Cider.
Glad you like the mug Jeff.

Bacon is good OT as is progress on that classic Tamiya Stug. It's always early evening somewhere in the world so you're good to go on the cider IMHO
