Celts cave
Re: Celts cave
Had a bit of a disaster with the decals. After painting the whole model in AMMO BY MIG Silver and then gloss coating with Humbrol clear,it was ready for decals. Both schemes in the box broke up and became unusable,I have got no suitable decals so I decided on a What if!

Looks great Ken, and a very plausible scheme too
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: Celts cave
Thank you Lone Modeller for your kind words, much appreciated.I have not posted in a few months because the tablet I take photos with broke down and despite many attempts to fix it,it has now gone in the bin. I have just bought a new tablet(not an iPad, a cheap ARGOS one) and hopefully I will post something soon.

Perfectly feasible What-if. The P-80 looks handsome in those markings. Well saved.

Re: Celts cave
Thank you all for the kind words,it means a lot.I have a question,I was about to paint my AIRFIX F-35 and the only suitable colour in my paint stash is Humbrol enamel 164 but I have not got any enamel thinner, can I use Tamiya x-20a?

Re: Celts cave
Nooo Celt. I think you will find X-20a will make a nasty mess. Use white spirit or cellulose thinners.
