Sounds like a plan. You can really only cover so much in a GB, from 100 years!.fredk wrote:melancfan wrote:... Anyone fancy using the rest of the year on a RAF Shared Build...

You know, I do have a Handley Page Hampden and a Hereford I am tempted to build.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Re: Sign-up and Chat
That sounds like a good alternative, I would be only too happy to help out as extended/ Assistant GBL if needed and it would be a neater solution than my idea.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
So is the extension until the end of the year official yet?
Seems like there is a lot of agreeance on keeping it going.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Right then chaps - even though we've got a few weeks to run still, it looks like the general feeling amongst you is to keep on going for the rest of the year?
I'm chuffed to bits with that - I think that's an incredible tribute.
I'm happy to carry on as GBL for the duration. Always happy to have some extra victims to assist if anyone fancies it.
I just need to build something (See my Phantom thread).
Cheers!

That is good news Stuart, i'm looking forward to building more RAF themed subjects this year here and I now don't have to rush to finish my Seaplane Tender. If you need another assistant GBL I would be happy to help.

Thanks David, that would be great. Please don't rush the Tender, it's a superb bit of work!

Re: Sign-up and Chat
The GB has been extended to 31 Dec 2018; we'll see if there are any survivors to take it into 1st Quarter 2019, but I'm not in favor of that at this time.
Basically same eligibility rules as before, except we will allow part-started kits. Unless Stuart or anyone has a huge objection, we won't set a "percent" complete limitations. It would be nice to focus of variety of RAF aircraft, vehicles, boats, equipment, and personnel throughout the 100 years and not just keep doing the same old thing over & over.
There's a slight change to the moderator list -- Stuart is still GBL, assisted by dwomby, lancfan, ShaunW, and myself as last resort.
Use the time wisely.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Can I ask a silly question?
Here we go:
I am trying to finish this Phantom in the Phantom GB but if I don't finish in 2 days could this count as part of this build?
I'm guessing probably not due to the A&AEE but as she has RAF roundels on I thought I'd ask.
If you don't ask you don't get.
