On Silver Wings

From 1 April 1918, to present, celebrating anything RAF -- land, sea, air, person -- any kit, any scale, not whiffs. This GB incorporates the 617 Sqn/Opn Chastise 75th GB. Originally a 3 month GB, it is now super-extended through the rest of 2018. Part started kits will also be allowed to join.

Just caught up on this, there's a lot of parts for a small kit! I agree with you that it was one of the prettiest aircraft
Best wishes

I have just ordered the Grebe, so I shall be following this build with a great deal of interest.

I have the Grebe, it looks interesting and a challenge. The decals provided are in error but, hey ho, nothing like a challenge. All in all a ‘dinky’ little aircraft that pilots found very satisfying to fly.

Not sure when I will tackle this little beauty, but a great addition to my 29(F) Sqn collection.

Is this the Aeroclub Grebe ? I admit to not having studied the kit, but what is wrong with the decals? I can post you enough to sort things out.

The decals have XXXXX along the fuselage side and it should be XXXX (or, in one example XXX). I will check the size and it might be a simple fix.

Yes, mine have 5-X also - never paid attention. I suspect they might be a bit small to just lop one off, regardless I have other decals if you need something let me know.

Thanks for the offer, in fact I make my own decals - driven by the need on my other ‘silver wings’ to represent 29(F) Sqn. I’ve done those for the Hawker Demon I am building at the moment.
The only down side is that the decals are lazer printed on clear decal paper and the red isn’t as rich.
