Re: Ray'S Creation Station
I spent today working on the Ventura, lots and painting and masking. It is ready for final assembly and decals I think.

Re: Ray'S Creation Station
And you may have seen another P-3 kit lurking in the background.
This a sort of commission for one of the guys at the museum. For once it will be an OOB build (well I will add some HF antennas and a Harpoon I think, but that is it!) in its high Vis delivery scheme. With this rumoured Academy kit I need to reduce the Hasegawa kits in the stash :D

Not seen many Venturas done, so looking forward to that. Looks great so far.
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

The Ventura is looking very smart, Ray and it's good to see a P-3 on the bench.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

The Ventura certainly lives up to its name, Ray. Very nice indeed.

Beautiful Ventura
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Re: Ray'S Creation Station
I just noticed some of the masking was still on the cabin windows. It has now been removed!

Re: Ray'S Creation Station
Well I was going to get a move on with a the C-130A firebomber I started sometime ago but I have now misplaced the windscreen. I hope it turns up soon.
So I have been progressing the HC-130N instead, painting is all but finished and it is time for some decals. I decided to paint the wing walk way a darker shade. Some of these aircraft had them this way.
I also did the sections behind the engines as most hi vis C-130s had them painted this way as well.
I was dreading doing the black strips around the fuselage bands (which was preventing me moving forward with this one) and thought about painting them. I found another build on line where they were done it with decals, fortunately I had some decal strips in the stash and used them and they worked out OK.
