Hi All,
I joined a little while ago. I have built models off and on since I was a kid, I started on bagged Revell kits and Hasegawa as that is what the local toy stores stocked. I mostly do 1/72 aircraft of different eras and sometimes enjoy making up my own colour schemes/versions/users etc. I tend to upset some modelers because I favour the desk top model style where the canopies are painted a solid colour and I have not been too concerned with accuracy for quite some time.
I also play guitar. Never know what to say in these things.
I have one question, is there a spot on this forum for requesting parts/decals from other members?

Hi Morlock. No need to worry about how you decide to build your models here, as long as you are having fun.
We do have a wants/sell section but this is only available to established members who have made 40 valid posts.

N'owt wrong with painted canopies! One of our esteemed but sadly no longer with us members was a great advocate of this technique

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Welcome Aboard !!
And I have adopted the painted canopy look also, for the few that I actually build, so you are not among strangers.
