If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Amazing, isn't it?! NASA has a way of engineering their stuff so that it lasts a lot longer than predicted.

Fascinating little story. Teaching Ginnie to do new things is like having a child in the house.

The thing that fries my brain is the distance and the time delay that must be involved; I can't fly one of those damn things when it's right in front of me let alone when it takes half an hour for a control input to take effect...😲

It's autonomous i.e. it is not under direct control from earth. Basically, the earth based operators send up a set of instructions to it and it then decides how it is going to implement the instructions and goes off and does them.

From what I have read it is intact, but has damage to at least one of its rotor blades. It is still working though it can not fly, but may still be able to send useful information back.

All the best

Maybe Wokka and I should go up there with our bucket of rotor wash.
