Tamiya 1/35 BMW R75 with side car and troops (MM116)
Tamiya 1/35 BMW R75 with side car and troops (MM116)
An oldie and goodie dating back to 1972 which I bought from a hobby shop in Barnstaple, more than 15 years ago. The R75 with side car and figures painted with Tamiya acrylics and artist oils.

A nice combination from Tamiya. Built and painted nicely by you.

Thank you so much Nigel. That´s very kind. I wish that I could do better justice on the figures, but I´m learning every day.Clashcityrocker wrote: ↑July 30th, 2023, 6:06 am A nice combination from Tamiya. Built and painted nicely by you.

Excellent job. Just shows you don't need the modern fandango kits to produce an excellent model

I'm quite a fan of 70's and 80's era Tamiya kits and this build ably demonstrates that how, with a bit of care and attention, they can be made to shine. Very nicely done.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I agree and even if the Tamiya kits from 70s look a bit dated, they still transpire quality and the German figures have that umistakable character with the heavy frown and the stone cold sober faces.

Thanks a million Shaun. I´m not the most proficient figure painter, but I really appreciate your kindness. love vintage Tamiya figures. They have an ample of charm and character. As long as they look half as good as the photos in the catalogues, I´ll be a happy as Larry.

Outragous. The faces look great. When I paint faces they look like clowns or like a squirrel when it sees a lightning. But, the only time German soldiers were sober was when they ran out of pervitin (Methamphetamin) and Schnaps. 🐿

Very nice work. I have a couple of these, I want to do a mini diorama based on a chapter from the book "I deserted Rommel" by Gunther Bahnemann.
