There are some really great (and very well expressed) thoughts in this thread!
I think polling of forum members to establish what level of popularity exists for different subjects will be useful in avoiding dead-end proposals. Likewise I agree that, if single kit GBs are proposed, cost should be considered alongside subject. Finally, I would suggest returning the minimum participation number back to eight; the better GBs (to me anyway) seem to be those with the higher number of entries, with the consequent higher level of contributions in the individual build threads which results..
Best wishes

Jim

A non-aircraft option for a SKGB could be the newish airfix1/72 Sherman firefly , cheap widely available maybe we could allow for conversions to tulips, M4A4’s

It's the next release after the 1/24 Defiant...

PS STGB would work for me...might even finish something....

I have set up a poll to assess interest in various genres for SKGBs. 3 votes per person, and can be changed at any time. Poll runs for 7 days.

Good poll, well-formed within the board limitations.
I do see 9 votes = 3 voters but only one commented on their choices :sigh

Thanks, Andrew - that will help in narrowing things down a bit! I think one SKGB a year would be a good thing.

I think it will also help shape the subjects of the other GBs as well, so we can cater to people's second and third choices.
