Hey Wokka, you need a UH1 build. Will be looking forward to it.

Done that, Of course it doesn't mean I can't do another, I'm thinking of the Seasprite, Airfix Seaking Mk IV and Sycamore next year.
It's only pain, work through it.

I'm down for a couple of GB's next year starting with the Road and Rail and builds for the CBK SIG 2024 display (TBD)
Finish a couple more shelf queens or projects unfinished from this year.
Maybe realise that OOB isn't something I can do

It seems Vallejo has been bought by a venture capital company which could mean a move to another paint brand if it means a jump in pricing. I can't post links as it came in on my company website.

I shall carry on building kits to average quality and pressing on with creating 3D enhancements. Add the additional shelves to my Detolf display cabinets and put the second hand one I acquired together.

I have only one firm GB on the list, the C-130, with a Hasegawa 1/72 HC-130J in USCG markings, as seen almost daily over the OBX.

I might do something for the Road & Rail/Track GB, for the CBK SIG, depending on timing of GBs and SIG theme.

My "big" intention is to re-open my John's Great War Workbench and return my focus to ground equipment. First should be the Resicast 1/35 Foden Steam Lorry with "Thresh" laundry/disinfector - stay tuned.

I do have other stuff accumulating in the stash but we know how that goes.

wokka wrote: December 20th, 2023, 6:48 pm I have to get over Christmas first, I'm going to Hospital on Friday for major over the top life and death treatment, it is like that unfortunately. If it goes well As it'll go well I'll be out after 3 weeks and then it'll be the the vehicle GB followed by more helicopters than this year. I've also got a couple of Italian WW2 aircraft to build and I want to develop a theme around Bristol aircraft.
Very best wishes to you Wokka, and the Bristol aircraft theme sounds like a winner!

I have finally done all the shelving in the spare bedroom which has allowed me to clear the mounds of books etc. from the boxroom. This will now get converted to a little modelling cave where I will likely spend far too much time in 2024.

I'm near the end of my backlog of recently built stuff to post here so I'll try to resurrect my old workbench thread.

Build wise I have a silly sized stash of vehicles and WW1 aircraft to get on with in braille scale, plus a 17pdr Pheasant and Quad to do in 1/35. I do like the obscure stuff so also plan to scratch up a Praying Mantis in 1/35 - not the insect!

If I can overcome the 'I don't want to have to learn new stuff at my age' mentality I may even get hold of a 3d printer and try to get to grips with that. There are some things I'd love to be doing with it involving cogs and such...
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

AKA Locusts. They descend on a victim, strip it bare then move onto the next. As Vallejo, I don't use their paints but their reputation is good and it would be a real shame if the Brand is adversely affected.
