Very nice Spitfire you've got there.

Re: Andrew's Tea Tray 2024
Sorry to hear that Andrew, best wishes to you both. I do know what that's like as mine gets me up at least one or twice a night. I had hoped as he gets older he'd grow out of it but he seems to be getting worse! Isn't Autism fun! What's really weird is he always seems to be worse during a new moon - I was up five times last week, and he's generally pretty bad during a full moon too - I tell you there's something in this lunacy stuff!
The Spitfire is looking excellent!
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...

Re: Andrew's Tea Tray 2024
The "S" in Shine Syndrome stands for "Sleep Disorder", so we expect it. But it's been particularly bad for a week or so. One reason I only work half-time. David usually has a 6-8 week repeating sleep disorder schedule, rather than a lunar calender! Medical science is baffled, of course.Stuart wrote: ↑March 16th, 2024, 9:17 pmSorry to hear that Andrew, best wishes to you both. Tasted good too. An old family recipe. So old it was printed on a dot-matrix printer.

The cakemeister strikes again!
The Spit does look good. I'm intrigued though, what is the darker area along the wing leading edges? Not something I've noticed before.

The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

Re: Andrew's Tea Tray 2024
It's from this picture in the IWM. Looks like some sort of varnish has been painted on. Not a regular thing as far as I know, but I thought that it was worth a go, as this build is a test-bed for paint and finish.

Your spitfire is turning out really great.
