Latest for me - even though I have the A&A new tool kit, I've still been after one of these at a decent price for years, to replace the one I messed up the last time. It's actually the earlier prototype than my new too kit so they should go well together.

This arrived - quite a bit bigger than the last one...
Even for this genre, pretty basic, they have cheaped out on the dual main wheels by supplying a thin disk instead of the inside dual - it's not even the same diameter as the tyres provided for the outer wheels...I spent a night trying to find a dozen alternatives - I now know way too much about slot car wheels - when it struck me that Imai was unlikely to use different tyres on Mac's Car. Yep, they are exactly the same!!! So the four from Mac's Car have been donated to the SPV... The tracks for the rear running gear are pretty weak and will probs be replaced by something cheap and 1/72...
These are my back up tyres: the slightly larger one is from the Monogram 1/48 B-1B, and the other is from an Arii 1/32 Mazda that has no further need of tyres...The B-1 tyres will probably go to Mac's Car as being more suitable for a swingy wingy flying thingy...

All models are equal. Some models are more equal than others.

Good choice Andrew - it's a nice looking kit.

You're going to have to splash out on some white primer now Craig.

Picked up one of these at the weekend - my first purchase of the year!
Looks nice in the box; now I will consider what accessories I might need, or indeed when I will build it.

Looks a good kit Paul and I was tempted by the £20 show price at Leeds.
My purchase was not prompted by the C-130 GB but on seeing the 1/72 Combat Models kit at SMW. I had the urge to make a start on my Welsh Models one, however on getting home I found I decided years ago not to add one to my stash and so I’ve had to rectify the situation. Airframe looks straightforward but the engines will need a lot of work. I’ve got some suitable Aeroclub WM props to replace the useless kit ones.
The Shorts Belfast, even in 1/144, breaks all my model size rules and will dwarf the Herc that is current yard stick.

Please start the Belfast, James. Then I'll have hints for building the one I have stashed.
