A late Christmas present arrived!

I got this today, for my Northamptonshire Project

I don't have markings for the aircraft I want to model, so it may be sitting in my stash for a while.

Less than £18.00 in the Airfix sale. I also got two other tanks for my son who is now building again so we got free postage and I got my club discount as well.

I had a large scale Bandai which I gave to a friend a couple-several years ago. Someone here may have shown this for the Road & Rail GB, so I went out to find one.



I also found a book "Model Traction Engine Construction" by John Haining which might be helpful for detailing, etc, but is really focused in the real model steam folks who build the real thing & all.

Apparently, I am a hoarder. I guess that goes back to being a kid, when everything that came through the front door was viewed as having a use in my hobbies. Apart from basic models, glue and paint, there was little else available to us, so we had to improvise with whatever we could scrounge. I loved all that. Since those early days, I have amassed a lot of stuff, including old stuff, which is supposed to be getting displayed at local shows, or in the house. 2024 should be a busy year, while I sort it all out. Thinning the stash will have to be a major part of that.

I've thinned my stash by over 1/3 in the last few years, by building more and buying less. No acquisitions just yet in 2024 though I have three on order, and the new Airfix range will swell the herd.....

I picked up these two just after Christmas....

Because I'm reading Mohawks over Burma.



And because I love the Hawk 200, and the MB kit is stupidly expensive. A&A models are a Ukrainian company that I've never heard of. They actually do three boxings - This one, the initial prototype and a 'in-service' aircraft.
