Technically, these are purchases from last year, as I ordered them from Japan before Christmas, but they just arrived today....



The oldie but goodie Hasegawa 1/48 Shinden, and the Academy 1/48 F-86D with JASDF markings; this is the old (2001) ProModeller kit re-boxed with new markings for 5 different Japanese airframes. Both really cheap from Japan, but obviously you have to wait months before they are delivered via slow boat!

if you are going to make this into a ‘turret Demon’, do you have a copy of ‘On Silver Wings’? There is a drawing on the plans page showing the differences that are required to fit the turret. My build of the AMG Demon will also hive you an idea of what is required.
In the event that you don’t have a copy of the book, I can email you a scan.

With a Sherman Group Build on the horizon and limited funds at the moment I took advantage of the Airfix 33% Off Sale currently running. The 88mm Gun and Tractor is a kit I never built as a kid and now I have a fascination with them (got 3 Tamiya ones in 1/35 so far). With the sale prices and a further Airfix club 10% off as well and the Hobby Points I had I paid less than £15 delivered for these two. Roll on September!

I was buying craft knife blades and silly putty for camouflage masking, and my hand slipped.

Now talking about the paint scheme with the eldest, who is a Mando expert. It's destined for her shelves.
