Re: Japanese Army figures
Thank you all!
This was a cool little model from Fujimi, but at just over two inches in length it tended to get lost among my other 1/700 scale ships, so placing it in a diorama setting with figures helped!

Just (with difficulty) seen this! Did you paint the figures with the tip of the pencil?

I'm sure you have bionic eyes, Tim, those figures are incredibly small yet you have made them look really good and they nicely enhance that excellent looking cargo sub and its attendant boat.

Re: Japanese Army submarine
Thanks guys. And yes, this is one of those projects that really pushed my limits for small detail! I have since switched to 1/350 scale ships which, at twice the size, are a bit easier to work with. Interestingly, the Fujimi Maru-Yu submarine kit came with both the 1/700 sub used in the diorama and a 1/350 version as well.
This in-progress shot shows them together. Even in 1/350, the larger model is only just over 4 1/2 inches long. I'll eventually finish it as a traditional full-hull display model.
