You know it's that old I have no idea. It's 1/72 if that's any help. I'll dig it out of the box of old broken models and take a look.
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

Nice Bearcat! I built the Monogram version many years ago and remember the prominent gun barrels on the wings; were there some F8Fs that didn't have these? They were a pain to get looking decent on the Monogram kit!
Re: HobbyBoss 1/72 F8F Bearcat
Thanks, I think there were. There are many photos of the aircraft that have no barrels but I am not sure about the particular aircraft I have built. I hear you on getting the barrels lined up nicely.Tim Reynaga wrote: ↑March 6th, 2024, 2:59 pm Nice Bearcat! That looks great PGAS. I think I am going to give the Mr Color varnish a go. A search through UK supplies reveals that all I’ve checked have either the varnish or the SLT but not both!

Thanks again Paul for reminding me of my old kit by posting this great build.

Thanks. Really play with the ratios on the thinner and clearcoat. The Super Clear II is very thick and it is easy to get orange peel or make it difficult to push through the airbrush.

Nice to see a couple of Bearcats after a long time.
And an interesting scheme!
This aircraft was just born to be a racer, wasn't it?
Cheers,
David
