1/35 U.S. Infantry (West European Theater) / Tamiya 35048

Post by KellerModeller »

Hello all,

in a big box of modeling stuff inherited from my cousin for a crate of beer were also started remains of the above mentioned set.
On this figures I tried the AK US infantry colour set, unfortunately I picked the wrong (too green) colour as the main colour. When I noticed it, it was too late.. :-D.
I also added some items from a PE set, e.g. weapon slings or glasses. The diorama base is a piece of wood that I found on a hike and kept for this purpose.

I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...

Those a beautifully painted KM. I like that the BAR man is the short sighted one. Spray and pray...
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

Didn't even think of that connection, but yes, it makes totally sense :-D

They look good with the added extras.

Thanks, Nigel!
The extras add at least a hint of finesse to the otherwise a little dated figures. Of course far from modern standard but still better than before. 😀
