Hasegawa 1/32 Spitfire Vb

Post by AndrewR »

The old Hasegawa kit, with added fabric seatbelts and decals from Xtradecal X32-041. The markings are from 72 Squadron, but the paint scheme is intended to trial the paint job of Brian Lane's Battle of Britain Mk 1!

My first 1/32 aircraft for about 50 years. The last one was the old Revell F4U Corsair.

Very nice Andrew - hope you've got a hangar for it!

Really nice! 😀👍🏼
An unusual sight, a spitfire with a yellow spinner, but it suits the plane well!
I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...

That looks very good, especially the light wear around the cockpit entry.

You must have a hangar already to store all of your completed models!

Thanks. I found the AK Metal Paste very useful.for the wear and tear around the metal panels and door. I just lightly brushed it on sparingly with a very old brush.

Alas, I could do with a hangar. There are too many models lurking in storage. One reason I mostly model in 1/72 scale!
