Italeri 1/48 Sioux

Post by Porsche »

Here is my completed 1/48 Sioux which was finished pretty much out of the box. I used the kit as a 'mojo' restorer whilst having a 1/32 kit on the bench. A very straightforward kit but I suspect the tail structure maybe a little over scale?

Finished with Tamiya paints and decals from the kit...I didn't want to do an olive drab scheme and there are some nice options in the box!

Very nice build.

Nice red finish and unusual combination of Bundeswehr Crosses on red, almost like a red baron helicopter 😉😀👍🏼
I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...

That is really nice. I have that kit and the worse thing is choosing from all of the great decal options. I've gone for the French scheme for mine because I like the powder blue frame colour but yours looks very attractive and bold in the red.

Thanks very much beany! I totally agree with your comment re:decal options in the kit and I too had a tough time choosing!
