That's funny that is!

Great looking book!

Picked this up in The Works for a fiver. I like his style of writing non fiction, his fiction books are a bit of a 'boys own' romp but so long as you don't want a Dicken's novel they're good.

That's a good book I've just finished it, you'll be shopping for B17's & Mustangs by the end of it.

Lucky find in a bookshop in Darlington, £5 well spent:

Lots of inspiration even if the text is a bit dated. The Commonwealth and US Navy pictures are particularly good.

Last month I completed the 5 book series, ARMOR.
This book series chronicles the journey of a tank crew from North Africa to Berlin. Authentic, action packed and filled with flawed, tough men of WWII. This book depicts the horror this crew and the rest of the third armor division faced throughout the war.

I'm taking a break from the History reads for a moment but as soon as I'm finished I will be tackling this one.

This morning, I picked up some more aviation books from the Friends of the Library sale:

Plus this excellent German 1889 World Atlas:

Plus a really neat find at a charity shop:

A pretty successful morning, I'd say!

I got this one for my new Poland 1939 project, and it seems pretty comprehensive.

There's nearly everything you want for the Polish Air Force in there, including some rather tidy colour plates. A lot of it is before the period I intend to build, but I'm still happy with the book.

Got these in a sale:
Pirates because I'm interested in what really went on not Hollywood's version though I'm partial to a good pirate film and Canaris because he's interesting a patriot but seemingly ( I've not started it yet) anti Nazi.
