ah well then I place my new cave here :)

you probably remember those from the old bench

Image

and the saga continues ... remember it's the OMGB 'British Steel' ... with this

It's the Whirlykits 1/72 de Havilland 108 Swallow

Thanks a lot you two :)

This thing is driving me nuts ...

well the sanding is almost complete, only at the bottom there will be one more session :)

Image

and the most Q#%&QQ'%%§§$% thing - I had to remove the windscreen again, because of two reasons; first it broke out at some areas again during the massive treatment during the sanding and second a lot of dust crawled inside ....

Image

ah well .... but on the other side it is some steps further AND it has some color on it :) well just primer but hey that's some kind of color too!

well a small update tonight - erm - I call it preparation work for painting :)

Image

Image

yep, I'm building some inlays for the leg graves. This way I can paint it and can do the detail work here in parallel ... in theory :D ... only the front leg bay has to be done before painting then.

Thanks for stepping by
Cheers

Believe me, your not done with the sanding.

I built one last year and it seemed to take forever. Everytime I thought I had finished with the sanding, part of the leading edge seam reopened and had to be refilled and sanded yet again.

I must have gone through about half a pot of car body filler during the build too.

There were times I really felt like throwing at the wall, but I stuck with it and it turned out well.

I hope you stick with your build as you are doing a great job of it so far.
Chris.

I just tested some effects on my test piece just to see whether the two main gray tones are OK for the spirit

Martin,

Oooh, I like those effects. Should look good on the B-2.
