More FROG Tape.

The folks that make FROG tape. ( Nice name for us modellers. ) have brought out a low tack version. I'll get a sample tomorrow and try it out. It's wide tape and can be used on wallpaper, so it should be ok on paint.

Watch this space.

Added. I've used it to cover some decals when touching up some paint. Just lay it onto the model and cut around the decals. Paint the model and remove the tape. It's not gooey and comes off clean. It will rmove a decal if not sealed forst.

Here's a couple of shots of the tape.

They have now brought out an orange version for gloss paints, but I prefer the Yellow Low Tack best so far.

It looks like Tamiya tape.

How well does it work Chuck?

It works very well. Here are some photos. It's cheap enough too, so no problem with large areas.

Some very sharp lines.

Did you make any special effort with the sticking down of the edges or just use a finger?

After seeing this a while ago I went and got some. I got it in 'Screwfix', a lot cheaper than other places.
I haven't used it too much yet, but it does need a good rubbing down at the edges.

Exactly what I thought when I saw it. Has anyone tried to mask a canopy with it yet? It looks thin enough to see the frame through. Gonna have to get me some of that when I pass Screwfix next. Thanks for sharing.
