They do if you add a deck hook some Dark Sea Grey and and call it a Sea Hornet :-D

How is that for a cunning plan 8-)

Oh that sounds good! Why didn't I think of that? Is it an F20 you plan doing?

I looked at masking the sky before spraying the dark grey and thought this is just too fiddley so time to break out plan "B" .

My logic now is spray the Dark Grey over the sky then mask the Dark Grey and re-spray the sky, this will require much less masking that is easier to apply :-|

My cunning plan worked masking the dark grey was simple and quick and the Tamiya Sky has excellent coverage.

The hornet is starting to look more like a Sea Hornet now.

Very nice, I really like that grey/sky FAA scheme. I have to say that the grey looks purple-ish to me as well, but then again my colour vision is about as trustworthy as the average politician's expenses claim

Your Frog kits are looking like a very interesting trio.

The Hornet looks like a very pretty little plane and it'll be great to see the finished product :)

You might be right I sprayed it at night and think I picked up the wrong grey

The weather has been so bad I have had little bench time but I should get some time this weekend to check the grey in good daylight.

EDSG does have a strong blue component - perhaps the 'redness' is a product of the lighting.

It looks grey on this monitor, I can't see a hint of purple. More like blue-grey.

Looks fine to me Splash. Could be the lighting mixed with camera settings.
