I think you are right in daylight it looks ok, once I have some penciled panel lines and some post shading/lightening it should look ok.

I have been looking at the Beaufighte's nose and have a plan, I have an old Airfix mk X that I'm using its engines for another project, so I'm looking at cutting the nose off the Airfix kit and grafting it on to the Frog's nose.

I can't do anything until the Airfix nose sets.

I think my plan will work, both canopies fit the frog so the shape must be close, so as you can see from the photos, I have now cut off both noses and transplanted the Airfix nose to the Frog and it looks like it should blend in with no problems.

I know, I know, I failed again to build it OOB, its a nice kit, unfortunately the late version it represents are all painted in plain dull colours unlike the early Mk X that had lots of invasion stripes :-D . Looking at the old Airfix kit and comparing it with the Frog kit I think this is a better way to go as the Frog is a nicer kit.

Nice bit of nose work Splash. My own nose is a bit bent after being broken many moons ago. Maybe you could fix that too :ha:

Yes, you should have seen the state of the other fella  No, in actual fact it was nothing quite so exciting. I miss timed a vault at school over a vaulting horse and head butted the horse. Needless to say, the vaulting horse won that particular fight :ha:

those vaulting horse can be nasty animals when upset :-D

Last night I had a session of sanding to remove the raised detail on the Bristol, it might need a spot of filler on the wing joins and the nose but note much considering its age.

Due to me having to decorating the kitchen, bench time has been severely reduced, so I'm only going to work on the Mk10 and Sea Hornet, the Owl can be moved to the box of shame, as its going to need tons of filler and toooooooo much sanding to finish within this GB's time frame  .
