Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
Thanks guys. It's a lovely kit.
Going places, getting there. I'm also happy with the fit here. Minor gaps wings to fuselage, seen from underside. I didn't need glue on one of the fuselages, simply 'clipped' it into place, widening the wing so it snapped back. But to be sure I went over the joints with liquid glue, nicely melting in.
Due to the decal placement I will not be putting on the tailplane until it's all painted and decalled up.
I've ordered Revell acrylic gloss black for this job. As my latest attempt with Vallejo gloss black wasn't successful.

Busy bench. Looking very nice.

Very quick work Sissel. It does look like a lovely kit & should be very cool in black.

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
Cheers guys.
This build is stalling a bit as I'm also blitzing on Saturday, Monday...
But with an easy paint scheme and the progress so far, it should be a quick one.
I'm scared of the big tail decals. I just know I will mess them up...
Yeah, I'm not jinxing myself with saying that.

Looking good Sissel, I particularly like your guns. FWIW I find Auto spray paint is better for larger gloss black vehicles, I have done a few Batman vehicles and found this to be the best way to go.

Great work Sissel, that looks to be a very nice kit and you're making a good job of it.

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
The antibiotics cure is helping and I'm starting to feel a little better. About time as I'm in my third week now.
I've managed a short time at the bench inbetween curling, cross country and biathlon.
Vallejo putty in the cracks. Ready to sand now. Once everything is smoothly sanded down I can start thinking about putting undercarriage and other bits on.
I've had Micromesh for goodness knows how many years, I've barely used them. Perhaps it is time?

Oh yes....you won't be sorry and you will see the difference, these are very useful to have and perfect for a smooth finish on vallejo putty.Prisca wrote: I've had Micromesh for goodness knows how many years, I've barely used them. Perhaps it is time?

Re: Sissels Nightly Horse Twins
A few more bits on.
Then an annoying little accident.
Guess what fell on the carpet which I offcourse managed to step on!?
I will glue one part to fuselage, then the other. But not today.
It will be a visible crack, but I'll just pretend the wingman hit a bird.
