despondman's Eduard Bf110 Nightfighter **Finished**
Another Bf110 but this time the Eduard Bf110 G-4 Nightfighter.
By all accounts the Eduard Bf110's are very good models, so I hope I can do it justice.

Re: Despondman's Bf110
Nice! But...do I see a ring of canopies?
Looking forward to yet another Bf-110!

Yes....a ring of clear parts. However the instructions show that the two large canopy parts are not used in this build, presumably these are used in one of the other Eduard Bf110's.BlohmWolf wrote:...do I see a ring of canopies?

Re: Despondman's Bf110
Very interesting. Looks like the canopies should come off the sprues rather nicely in that configuration.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Here are the sprue shots. There are lots of parts, but the instructions show that 40 or more are not used in this model.
The decals include full and 2-part swastikas.
The instructions are 12 pages, here is a link to the pdf version on the Eduard website:

Nice, I like the way they've done the wing radiators.
Lots for the spares box, are there four nose cones there?
Cheers

Re: despondman's Bf110
I think you should use all the parts. Why shouln't your -110 have eight noses, four wheels and eight exhausts?

Re: despondman's Bf110
These 1/72 Bf110's from Eduard look every bit as good as their 1/48 Bf110's, these weekend kits are just quality although why they are called that is beyond me as although I can build quickly I would never contemplate having one of these finished in a weekend...lol
Loads of spares in their Fw190 kits as well in fact these have been very useful for scratchbuilding bits and bobs in some 1/72 kits I have built recently.
Regards
Mark

Looking forward to seeing how this goes together. I like Airfix kits a lot, but I've bought a couple of those Eduard Bf110Gs and you get a lot of kit for ~£10 (Weekend boxing)

Great idea. Over at Whatifmodelers.com someone is just drooling at the thought.Softscience wrote:I think you should use all the parts. Why shouln't your -110 have eight noses, four wheels and eight exhausts?
Anyway here are my photos of progress made in week 1.
I have to say the reviews of this model are not wrong, it is is a beautiful model, and everything goes together so easily.
