Daz's Warbird Spit - **FINISHED**

Post by DazDaMan »

My first ever Blitz will be this fine beastie (which is definitely my firm favourite in the 1/48th class thus far!)

Image

The subject will be a well-known warbird.....

Bog-standard kit build (except for rounding off the rudder) and decals from the Airfix Mk.IX kit.

Brilliant subject Daren, I remember seeing '434 on display at Blackpool Air Pageant, 1977-80 flown by Neil Williams.

One of my favourite airshow memories is of watching Ray and Mark Hanna dogfighting in the Spitfire and Hispano Buchon respectively over East Fortune. This one might well end up sitting alongside the Arii Bf109G-6 that I did the other week!

We'll see. It might be a bit nearer the end of the month - I have a week's holiday coming up, so if it comes to it I might lump all three together!

I've edited the start date for later this month. Will pick one of the smaller Spits to do first - just to be sure!

I won't miss this one Daren, MH434 has always been a favourite.
